Meet Pixel

Meet Pixel!

Chances are if you have joined me on a live stream, you have seen or even met this little beastie. Pixel is our Torbie rescue. She is far far more than just a fur baby. This special wee kitty shares a bond with my partner and I unlike anything I have ever experienced before.

We 100% feel that she shares a part of our souls and we a part of hers.

Kitten, as we often call her, came into our lives in a rather peculiar way. We had been living in our new home for only a few months and being that it is an old rural farmhouse, there were mice. Rather ballsy ones at that, who loved to raid my pantry.

It just so happened one night soaking in the tub with my beloved, that I mentioned we needed to find a feral kitteh to adopt, as our other cat was too lazy or disinterested to handle the job.

The very next day someone I knew from high school posted on facebook that they found a kitten on the roof of their garage. They rescued the poor dear but could not keep her because of allergies.

You absolutely bet I took this as a sign and agreed to go get this little adventurer. The next day she became a part of our family and she forever changed our lives.

Pixel has SO much sass but also so much love.

She can tell when I am experiencing Dissociative episodes or nightmares and will meow at me to ground me or lay on my chest to give me pressure when I'm a prisoner to the terrors in my dreams.

Pixel demands attention and will seek us out simply because she wants to be near. She will ride around the house sitting on Sock’s shoulders and often I will find the two of them curled up napping, watching bird videos on Youtube or just hanging out in the most adorable ways.

Kitten is so deeply intelligent that she understands things in ways I would have never expected.

You can guide her around the bed when you are making it, she will sit and wait while we eat our morning cereal knowing she will get her little bit of milk.

She also understands the word “no” and will absolutely voice her dysplasia and might even swat at you for daring to tell her no.

She has a cubby in my wall divider next to my desk where she will nap while I work.

Simply, she is the most loving and adorable cat I have ever had the pleasure to live with.

We adore her with all our hearts!
